Businesses in and around Chard that are having difficulty in receiving broadband or require high speed broadband could benefit from a grant thanks to a collaboration between South Somerset Together and Connecting Somerset.

South Somerset Together have helped fund a wireless broadband initiative that delivers broadband by line of sight.

The wireless infrastructure is currently being expanded through areas of Chard and a grant to assist towards the installation could be available to businesses that are able to receive the service.

The wireless line of sight broadband is being installed and supplied by South West Internet.
