Since 2005, Connecting Somerset has been helping businesses throughout Somerset to make the most of IT in their business with advice, training and financial support.

The project has now received funding for a further year and the good news is that we can continue to offer grants to support business.

The new grant scheme will require you to undertake some training prior to the grant being approved. However, this training has been developed in light of the success of workshops we have been running over the past year and aims to help you define your IT requirements prior to briefing suppliers.

The steps for which we are offering grants are as follows:

Step A - Need a website? We’ll pay 50% of the costs – up to £500

Step B - Want to improve your website and then be able to update it yourself? We’ll pay 50% of the cost of upgrading to a site you can update yourself – up to £500

Step C - Want to sell online? We’ll pay 50% of the costs of moving into E-Commerce, up to £500

Step D - Ready to put online selling at the heart of your business? There are lots of ways you can do this and all qualify for a grant
