It was a steep learning curve for Sue Oberholzer when she bought Glastonbury delicatessen The Truckle of Cheese, three years ago.

Sue had previously run Glastonbury’s main post office, so the move to selling charcuterie, cheeses and other high quality groceries represented a major departure.

Now – with help and support from Connecting Somerset - she is ready to launch into the world of eCommerce.

“I am very excited about the new opportunities that eCommerce will bring and I can see a huge amount of potential,” she said.

“ECommerce will expand the horizons of our business and mean that we can trade nationally and 24 hours a day.

“Now we will be open for business even when the shop is closed. It is a fantastic development for us and the grant from Connecting Somerset has given us the incentive to take that step forward,” she added.

Among the initiatives Sue is keen to launch are picnic hampers for visitors to Glastonbury’s attractions or the surrounding area; Luxury Christmas hampers and online ordering of her popular line of South African delicacies.
