This workshop is aimed at the small business owner who is interested in protecting information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification or destruction.

What will the workshop enable me to do?

You’ll gain an understanding of the risks to their business if there was a security breach and will be able to identify the layers of security that are available to your business.

You will be able to begin educating staff and make them responsible for following a published acceptable use policy.

We will look in detail at the basic security functions of the Microsoft Small Business Server e.g. strong passwords, remote web work place rather than PPTP access, anti virus, backups, minimum privilege and the roles of a Firewall.
